About/Contact
I am a freelance artist and illustrator, living and working in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (UK).
I graduated from Kingston University in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Illustration and Animation.
Working primarily with chalk pastels and pencils, I aim to convey a strong sense of feeling and atmosphere. I enjoy the process of storytelling as well as the immediacy of drawing from life, especially nature. Often using surreal elements to communicate a sense of inner life, there is an ethereal and mystical quality to my work.
A broad range of illustration clients have included Oxford University Press, Greenwood Grange, Everything New Parenting, Fluid Image, The Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club of Canada, CAMDA (Cheltenham Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) and The Thomas Paine Society.
My work has been displayed and sold through exhibitions at several Galleries including Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham, the Riverside Gallery in Richmond and the Nails Gallery in Bristol, as well as at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Haunch of Venison and the Jago Galleries in London. A permanent mural (created by myself and a fellow illustrator) can be seen at The Canbury Arms in Kingston Upon Thames.
I have been an exhibitor at the Landmark Spring and Autumn Art Fairs and the Sparkle Festive Fair, all at the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington. My work is stocked in various shops including The Hare and the Moon and the People Hive, in Twickenham. I have contributed artworks to various charitable Art events including the Secret Art Sale for Habitats and Heritage, Art Unleashed! for the Chicago Canine Rescue, Amelia's magazine piece for Shelter's House of Cards exhibition and The Refuge Tree.
